Make Money At Home

How to Make Money at Home on the Internet - Part-Time

If you've been downsized, right-sized, or just plain let go in this downward economy, you may be looking for ways to make extra money. You could easily go get a job flipping burgers or waiting tables, but is that really going to help? You'd probably make more by taking unemployment, but that doesn't last forever. So, what are you going to do?

A lot of people these days are working from home and making money on the internet. Even in this rough economy, there is money to be made online and with the right training, you can do it, too.

Let me give you just a few examples of ways that people make money online.

eBay - Online auctions are a great way to make extra money. In fact if you have things lying around the house gathering dust, you can sell them on eBay for extra cash. It's relatively easy to set up an account and get started, but there are a few drawbacks.

Getting your ad pages done on eBay is not too easy. For one thing, you're going to have to get a digital camera and take good pictures of the items you're selling. No one wants to buy something they can't see. After that's done you have to write a good article about your item. You also need to either learn html or get some software if you want your ad to look good. Once you do all that, you have to get your ad posted and running. That part is actually fairly easy. The only other difficulty is in getting paid. Most of the time it goes well, but sometimes people will buy your item and then never pay for it, leaving you to run the entire auction again. Yuck.

So, do people make money on eBay? Absolutely. Can you do it? Probably. If you have some good computer skills and time to learn, you can probably make some good extra money on eBay.

Building a Web Store - There are a lot of people out there creating websites and selling products through Web Stores. When done right, these can make a lot of money. However, like eBay, there are some problems.

If you have a webstore, you have to have products to sell. You also have to have a place to put all those products until they do sell. You also have to front all the money for those products until you've sold them. If you don't get enough sales, you could end up eating a bunch of products that you thought were going to make you rich. Not good.

However, if you avoid some of these problems, build a nice site with good products, and buy good advertising, you can do well with an online store.

Affiliate Marketing - If I had to pick one way to make money from home on the internet, I would pick Affiliate Marketing. Unlike eBay and web stores, with affiliate marketing you don't have to stock any inventory, ship any items, or hope anyone pays you. You don't even have to build a website or learn html or web programming. In fact, you don't even have to have a website at all to make thousands of dollars every month with affiliate marketing. You can do it from home, from the library, or anywhere you have access to a computer and the internet.

However, you're going to want to get someone to show you how to get started and actually start the money machine rolling from day one. It can be done and you can do it.
